But building the infrastructure for it to be safer will likely increase how many people take it up. There's been studies on if cycle routes increase the numbers of cyclists, a lot of people won't cycle on roads and would only consider it if theres a safe cycle route plus the safe routes designed for bikes make it more enjoyable so that also helps increase how many cyclists there are |
