Yep, right enough there are lots of people who can't afford the deposit and need to rent. This is again a function of rising prices do to insufficient levels of house building.
And yes, we could build lots more social housing to house everyone. But what is the function of social housing? People moving to the westend are hardly paupers. Why should the state be subsidising their housing costs? |
