I think it's a weird mindset of you only ever use your car to get places. I don't drive and catch busses, trans, and sometime cycle. Other then firstbus it's easy to get around and Glasgow is small enought to walk most places. Even if a train takes longer than a car, I just read or listen to music. Same as I would if I was sitting at home. But I've got mates that insist on driving everywhere and don't understand why I'd decline a lift and spend an extra thirty minutes on a train. "But it's quicker!", fine I'll just read on the train, "but we can keep each other company!", I can only actually tolerate you sober for thirty minutes or while drunk.

If they make the city centre walk and cycle only then the council could get electric carts reserved for the elderly and disabled like you see at train stations and airports.

I'm sure there are loads of other ways they could make the city more accesible for everyone.

I actually hate the addiction to cars when they cause so much harm.
