| Comment | The issue is the council do not make accepting card payments part of the license conditions. Just like when you go into places now and they say card only. Its up to the merchant/service provider how they accept payment.
You can avoid the rank, go somewhere easy to get to by road, book on the Glasgow Taxis app and a taxi with a card machine will be dispatched. Or you can pay via the app. If you end up on a rank get the steward to find you one that accepts card.
If the ranks are busy book it for the main door of a hotel like the Radisson Blu, Marriott, or even Millennium that way you catch the taxis heading back to the main ranks before they hit the rank. |
