Half an hour ago I saw a nice wee old man tell a black lady on the bus to "Shut up and go home", and nobody batted an eyelid. Glasgow is far, far from being welcoming and friendly. The welcoming and friendly people are certainly out there, but so are plenty of the ignorant, racist, intolerant ones.
