There was a guy years back who did shit like this near Maryhill student accommodation. He would be there every evening and would follow lone women. Me and my flatmate reported it. The police came and took statements and got us to identify him. I think he had been known to do this for a while and had previously offended more seriously.
He pled guilty so we didn't need to go to court? But there was def a case. I remember them asking if he had caused us genuine distress as a question.
I don't know if any of that is helpful but from this experience I think it's probably a crime and the police shoud do *something* if you tell them. |
