I don't believe this is the case. I know it would be lovely if people didn't drop litter and the council swept the streets every day but that's not the reality. I've been doing litter picking since lockdown too and the difference in my street is noticeable. I know I'm not the only one doing it because I have seen at least two others and the street is significantly cleaner. I used to pick 2-3 crisp bags out of my front garden every day and now it's a rarity.
Good on you for trying to get people together to fix the problem. I'm not up for a reddit meet of any kind but I'll definitely keep doing my own wee clean ups. |
