Like everybody is saying call the Police. Your call might help some other poor lassie who is less fortunate in the future. In the unlikely event the same guy targets you again, you can now show a pattern of being targetted.

In a well lit safe/public place get your phone out, open the camera app and start video recording from the camera. Straight up film the guy if you feel able. If that is too bold (understandable), put it to your ear and pretend to have a conversation whilst pointing the camera at the guy. The idea is you want some corroborating evidence.

Walk on far enough, cross the road, etc as you have done and film him again. This shows that he is following you from the videos and not just walking in the same direction for a couple of minutes.

If you are feeling bold, you could **shout** "Stop following me, I have called the Police and I am filming you for my own safety."

Remember its about power not sex, he is getting off on making you feel like a victim. If you can take back control that's the exact opposite of what he is hoping for and his little winkie will shrink.

Good guys, we need to be aware that vulnerable people may feel threatened regardless of our benign intentions. If you are walking behind anybody and they seem in any way nervous, cross to the other side of the road and take a different route. Seems an obvious point but I think some people feel "I am a good guy, there is nothing to be worried about". Don't be affronted just think, what if that was my wife/gf/daughter/mother and she was feeling the fear.

Finally its not just women who can feel this so give lone guys a break too. A single guy walking home with two or three guys behind him is likely to be feeling similarly vulnerable and is statistically way more likely to actually be violently attacked. Which guy has not felt this fear or actually been attacked? Not many I guess?
