I wouldn’t say that there’s an area that has a higher proportion of black people in glasgow.
FYI : I’m not black. I’d say that there’s a very small black population and nothing recognisable as a homogenous group. (Whereas the Indian/Pakistani population is well represented and there’s a few areas where they are v populous.)
I’d move to whichever area you like the feel of. West end and the Southside is the most cosmopolitan. Some suburbs are better than others.
I grew up in the burbs and never met a black person till I was a teenager. So you’ll meet similar people of similar experience and they might say dumb things which isn’t great but is way better than it was.
While outright racists do exist- you’re unlikely to be running in the same circles as them. |
