The Allison Arms on a Saturday night is horrendous, always too busy, nowhere to sit and full of roasters who've travelled from all over to be there. Church on The Hill is a horrendous boozer, save for the outside seating areas. Full of guys with double sleeve tattoos and yeezys and women who have pictures that say 'live, love, laugh' in their living room. And the food is horrendous. The old schoolhouse on Woodlands Road, an empty, soulless vessel with rugby paraphernalia on the wall, enough said. Lebowski's in Finnieston is garbage, overpriced, shit food, shit white Russians, full of apprentice jeans and scheux. The driftwood on sauchiehall Street and I've had the misfortune once of being in that O'Neills in the merchant city on a Friday night for a work do, absolutely full to the gunnels, music turned upto 11, hell on earth. |
