I have my doubts. The real problem is cars are getting bigger and heavier and the damage done to roads is exponential to the weight of the vehicle.
Roads are going to get damaged more often because of everyone's obsession with buying massive tanks to feel "safer" on the road, coupled with electric vehicles being heavier in general due to the batteries required.
