Could be weeks or could be months. Depends on lots of factors like the chain, do you have a mortgage in place, are the deeds and various certificates all correct, and so on.

If you want a ballpark for something with zero issues, 4 months ± 2 months.

Buying my first flat was a breeze (literally done on a handshake, solicitor informed, all done within a month), selling it 20+ years later was a shitting nightmare. The Glasgow planning department are good peeps and figured out the problem (eventually).
