I think you'll find you have never done a litter pick. Litter blows out of bins true, but during a litter pick its very easy to identify dropping behaviour and hotspots.
For our litter pick the hotspots are around the nearby high school and down the park where all the teens drink. Dogshit in bags around any dog-walking spots. Goes from low background levels to bonkers high in those spots.
