It's worth asking the GP, although they might not agree it's the best thing for you. I had a water dissolvable NSAIDs that I got in Poland that were great, but they are not approved for use in the UK so the doctor couldn't prescribe it. However, from the way the doctor spoke, I reckon he'd have prescribed it for me if he could.
