That's probably because people go out for one coffee, and for multiple pints. Would explain the disparity in it?
Plus the price of a coffee often dictates how good it is. The price of a pint varies wildly based on location, pub vibe etc. So you could pay £6 for a pint in one pub then £4 for the exact same pint in another eh.
