Comment | If it is a well-known brand, like Apple, HP, Lenovo, Dell etc. go to nearest service centre or contact them quoting the serial number and attach a copy of your invoice/receipt (IT team must do it in behalf of company if it is a work laptop), and they take a note of the laptop as stolen. If it ever comes to a service point somehow, they will arrest the laptop and will contact you.
Also, if your pc has features like Absolute, service centre or IT team can lock it for good (like impossible to be used after that point) and track it remotely. |
