I do one of those roles - correct! The good things are a fabulous pension in the region of 26-30% and a permanent contract till whenever the f I like once I pass probation. Also good progression opportunities.

Wage rises are terrible though, 4.5% plus I think about £1500 after a year in the job. I don't have kids, so I can't complain too much and count my stars that I can afford to rent my own flat etc, but still, I feel anything less than 30k for a fairly important job is a disgrace.
