I know someone mentioned Troon beach but it may be worth having a look at ardrossan south beach. Towards the saltcoats side just next to the cinema there is an old boating pond that is just deep enough for a large lab ( speaking from experience 😀) its walled in so the doggo would be protected from the elements and there is parking right beside the cinema so no more than a few minutes walk!
