Am I out of touch or something? I calculated my grocery spend for all of last month and got £232, that includes 1 takeaway per week, toiletries and other non-food, brand names instead of own-brand, a few alcohol purchases, and generally not bothering to be economical.
If I wanted I could drop that down to £150 per month without that much trouble. Which doesn't seem so crazy.
