| Comment | This depends on your funding source and how the PhD funding is. *Some* research councils have applied an increase, others haven't, and are leaving it to your institution. Some existing students are somewhat left in the lurch.
Regardless, though, /u/notgotapropername you should speak to your supervisor about this as most faculties/universities have ways to bulk up stipends, and if your supervisor is a professor they will almost certainly have discretionary funds they can use - it may just not have occurred to them to do so. |
