| Comment | The vast majority of the Gorbals tenements are gone now, swept away in the regeneration boom in the post-war years. However, if you know which tenement your Dad lived in, or if he was cleared to a council house elsewhere in Glasgow/the West then you could have a look at the valuation rolls and other documents in the Mitchell Library. Sadly only some of the vast City Archives have been digitised, so you'd need to get in contact with the Mitchell and plan a trip up to search.
