i moved to paisley last year as a student studying in glasgow. it takes an hour to get to the west end and you have to pay for both a train and a subway (as well as rely on both of them to be on time). charleston is a decent bit in paisley to live in but overall its just not worth it unless you solely need to go to glasgow city centre
