Comment | If it’s a top floor flat, chances are whichever wall they’re taking down is non-load bearing (the roof will be supported off the main external walls). That said, they will need a structural engineer to review and complete an SER certificate which the local authority will need to sign off the work and allow habitation.
You should be able to check/track local authority applications via the [public access glasgow website](https://publicaccess.glasgow.gov.uk/online-applications/search.do?action=simple&searchType=ScottishBuildingWarrant).
They probs won’t have employed an architect for simple work, but might have a building contractor so probs worth giving them a google. |
