There you go pal. Only need basic level of education to be an ATCO, the testing and candidate profile is what they look for, not formal educational requirements.
Being here I can say that trainees are a huge variety of backgrounds, age, education and life experience. Ranging from people in their 40-50s to 18 year old straight from McDonalds. Regardless, everyone of them despite that huge diversity of backgrounds and education etc. is 'switched on'. It is a job open to anyone and they cast the net far and wide for possible candidates as it really is a particular type of person they are looking for with mostly innate skills and potential for training.
I would recommend everyone to fire in an application on the off chance they find themselves suitable as potentially a great career, good working conditions and very good money.
Recruitment had only recently opened back up last month after 3 year suspension. |
