| Comment | I have heard this before. My old neighbour also referred to it as a fanlight. What I have never had answered though it why these windows are never above living rooms. Every tenement I have stayed in or noticed have these windows above kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and the front door but never the living room. The current tenement I am in has a master bedroom that also doesn't have one but it is a very oversized room and I have a feeling it was originally a second living room rather than a bedroom. |
