Not that I disagree about the water here (and it's even nicer in the Highlands) but not all parts of England have horrendous water. When I moved to Lancashire from the South East, I couldn't believe how good the water tasted. You could drink it straight from the tap without needing a Brita filter! After 20+ years in East Sussex, where you practically drank chalk, it was wonderful.
