There's places to live and places to visit. Most tourist places around the world aren't great to actually live in as it's all tailored towards tourists. Honestly I don't think many people in Glasgow care of someone prefers Edinburgh. Only time I hear about any rivalry is when I'm in Edinburgh. Most people here just get on with their lives.
