Really far if you're in City Center, but Mary Stewart building at UoG's Garscube Campus is a great place to study. Very peaceful and quiet (except for exam season of course), surrounded by lots of green, and I think it's open to anyone.
Not the easiest to get to, but if you're in city centre a bus and a 20-minute walk up Bearsden Road should do it.
