lol yeh the 12 hour late trip was Amtrak, SF to Seattle, wasnt cheap either.
Just check google maps, say SF to Portland vs Inverness to London which are both somewhere around 600 miles, American trip is 15 hours vs 8 hours. Far more times available on the Inverness trip.
