Comment | My 2009 Subaru isn’t allowed, I’m guessing because it’s a diesel 4x4. I can’t help but feel a bit resentful, I keep an older car because I want to be financially responsible and it feels like they’re penalizing people people who can’t afford a newer car. I don’t know the history of which body (ScotGov, GCC) introduced it but I don’t recall any public consultation. I don’t really get why I’m allowed in the west end but not the city centre. I’d have preferred a congestion charge for all vehicles, but I will admit that at least it encourages people like me to use public transport. |
