I would, yes. I can *taste* the exhaust fumes when I walk my child to school in the morning. I don't really use my local park (Pollok Park) because there isn't an entrance where cars aren't prioritised - at best there's a narrow 2 person wide pavement so I'm walking in single file to pass people coming the opposite direction and worrying about my kid on his bike, or worse there's no pedestrian provision and you just have to jump onto the grass verge when cars come, which is frequently. You stand in the pissing rain at pedestrian crossings trying to guage whether it's safe to take the cars' indicators or lack of at face value, or just be safe and wait another minute or two getting soaked for the green man that was clearly designed with cars in mind and leaves pedestrians waiting. You cross the road outside the school between cars with engines running parked on the zig zags because people refuse to walk a couple of streets. You can't cross the road safely in loads of other places because you can't see for vehicles parked on double yellow lines at junctions or up on the raised pavement that was meant to deter illegal parking. God forbid you try going out with a pram or wheelchair because the pavements and dropped junctions are randomly closed by individual vehicles. I'm actually a car owner myself so I'm not unaware of the challenges of driving in the city but we should be doing NOTHING that makes the car the most convenient option.
