| Comment | I’m not sure what the cost is. To Ettrick beach it was £4 return. And there’s a £4.50 all day ticket on the bus companies app (WCM Buses) - so you shouldn’t have to pay more than that. I don’t think they sell the day ticket on the bus for some reason though.
Also two things worth noting - 1. The buses use contactless. 2. You can get a combined train/ferry ticket. It’s worth checking how much the cost is if you break down your rail trip to multiple legs. I noticed it was somehow more expensive to travel from Glasgow central, compared to buying a ticket further out. Also, some guy was raging at the ferry terminal because the rail staff at his local train station told him they don’t do combined tickets anymore. Mine tried to tell me that too until I showed him on the ScotRail app.
