Honestly that’s not a popular take here and I’d recommend considering yourself as an immigrant as ex-Pat is a really loaded statement. It’s a bit right wingy/boomery.
There is some anti- American sentiment that you should be aware of before you come. It’s based on the usual stereotypes. Would recommend not fuelling the fire on it by insisting on being known as an ex pat. |
