It’s limited time only for 1 more year. The only reason being that there is a massive backlog at the places that do the retrofitting to make them compliant.

It’s still a big outlay for them. Basically having to invest £6k in a vehicle that will be around 9 years old and possibly need replaced in a few years anyway.

Or bite the bullet for either a euro 6 Vito at £45k (think they are in incredibly short supply). Or an LEVC electric taxi where the list price was £65k but I think the shortage of availability has pushed the price up to as much as £100k after finance costs are considered.

Bigger businesses could eat the cost but a lot of taxi drivers are sole traders and one man bands. A £6k bill would sting most of us.
