Great that your going to tackle the garden!

Some tips:

Jot down the design on paper or using some online drawing apps. Create a free My RHS account - it's great for tracking which plants you have and how to care for them.

If you have space, get a small compost bin. Start it off with soil and worms if you can find some. Layer with vegetable scraps and you get free potting compost after about a year.

Think about how much maintenance you're prepared to do. A wildflower meadow is beautiful but it will need weeded and cut back.

You could grow some plants in containers rather than directly planted and have gravel paths around the containers. Make sure you used anti-weed fabric under the gravel.

What direction does the garden face? This is important as some plants thrive in direct sun and some prefer shade.

Climbing plants are beautiful (Clematis, Ivy etc) if you have a wall where you could attach some trellis.

Any space for raised veggie beds?
