Hey, am in a similar boat as you. The question of ADHD was posed in my mind just about two and a half years ago, have been on the NHS waitlist since. It keeps getting longer, unfortunately, and I have a sinking feeling it's cost me my degree (waiting on my final results now).

Don't put off getting in touch with your uni's disability service. Even if you don't have any certifications, there's a VERY good chance that they'll still give you the appropriate support. I went to UofG, so if you want to know more about how they handled it there, do let me know. With that being said, I'm positive that every other uni will have something in place for you, waitlist or not.

I can't speak for any private doctors, but I'd suggest getting on the NHS list anyway. There's no harm in that.
