| Comment | This is a very long shot, but have you approached the university? I know they can help get assessments for dyslexia and dyscalcula. Not sure about ADHD assessment. honestly I doubt they do them but it’s worth talking to student welfare or someone else at the uni before paying for an assessment. You should get an answer to it quickly.
Also, if you go privately for an assessment, check with your GP practice first if they will accept a private diagnosis to then allow them to prescribe any medication on the NHS. I’ve heard a few people who’s GPS haven’t accepted the diagnosis done privately and private prescriptions can be expensive. I don’t know what the issue was. It maybe just the practice being annoying, but maybe that they felt the testing wasn’t to robust/standardised enough to reliably diagnose ADHD. Check with your practice if they have any restrictions so that you know ahead of time if you need to go somewhere that does assessments in a certain way |
