| Comment | There are a lot of gay bars in the city and the scene is varied Katie’s Bar, Del monicas, axm, polo. There are some parts of Glasgow I don’t hold hands with my GF but all cities have their dodgy bits and it’s pretty obvious I’m a lesbian anyway, the city centre is totally fine I see LGBTQ couples all the time and also the west end where Glasgow Uni is situated.
If you want to hang out with other lesbians and make pals not in a night out kind of setting I would recommend Glasgow Women’s Library, good for research and my PhD is based there, always lots of students and lesbians. Would also recommend checking the Glasgow Free Pride Facebook page I think that was set up by some girls from Glasgow uni. I guess you maybe already know about the queer bookshop but that’s in the west end and is pretty good!
