Pride was the original ‘pride’ in Glasgow but fucked up over a number of years and large portions of the lgbtq+ community now avoid it. It’s very much the commercial driven event where you’ll see Barclays logos with rainbows on.
Mardigla was a community initiative set up because of the failings of the pride organisation. It happens a bit later in the year and is much more community focused. I believe the March is better attended, and the event in Strathclyde union is pretty good as it’s split over a few floors.
I would recommend Mardigla over pride! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ |
