It’s a local bylaw aye (don’t think it’s Scotland wide). Drinking is illegal in public spaces like parks, stations etc. Relatively new law (only about 10yrs) and I am genuinely amazed you got fined though, police will normally just tell you to pour it out (unless you’re being an arse about it).

Particularly at Kelvingrove in this weather lol, you will have seen (at the big slope at least) that you were far from the only one drinking. But you got to keep it out of sight and Police might have been under a directive to start issuing more fines to discourage us jakes in this fine weather.
