Drinking in parks AND being stopped by police for drinking in parks are both extremely commonplace in Glasgow.
It’s illegal to drink alcohol outside in Glasgow, unless on your own property (ie. your garden) or in an establishment such as outdoor areas for a bar or restaurant or an outdoor event that serves alcohol, like a concert). It’s a shitty law but unfortunately, it IS the law 😕
