My advice would be to go through the motions at first. Just light weight practicing the lifts etc. It's still exercise and gets your muscles/mind used to it.

If you completely cunt yourself on your first visit you'll be out of action for a week and much bigger risk of getting a pulled muscle or something which will just hurt your progress.

I recommend starting a wee notebook with when you've gone and what you did. Helps you track progress and gives a sense of pride when you're having to flip through pages of your own workouts after a while to put in a new entry.

Most machines and weights are pretty self explanatory, with little diagrams on most of them. Between that, YouTube, and just watching other people, you'll get off to a good start.

Remember the most important thing is consistency. Four hard 25min workouts a week is better than one 2 hour session every 10 days!

Good luck!
