| Comment | I had a lump in my breast which the GP was visibly alarmed by (great!). She made an urgent referral to the breast clinic for mammogram, ultrasound etc. Took two months to get seen - no-one's fault: just not enough specialists to go round. I'm OK thank fuck, but it was a horrible time, during which I learned that there aren't set referral times in Scotland; there are 'targets', but these aren't being met in many health boards. |
