It’s just worth considering the demographics of accents are often place-based and index linked to local economies…
So while it might not be pleasing to your ear- it’s an accent some folk grow up with and it limits their social mobility.
So while it’s fine to make a note of it and have your preferences etc- just remember that it is a very political thing and a huge signifier of the breadth of lived experience and inequity in Glasgow. |
