I did the level 1 DIY evening course at Cardonald in 2015. It was great. Mainly first time home buyers (quite a few couples).
Covered a fair bit, at a basic level- plumbing (how to fit an outside tap, fixing toilet, fixing sink, fixing leaking pipe or tap), tiling (cutting tiles to fit, laying tiles, applying grout), very basic woodwork (how to safely use saw/chisel/sander, making a simple spice rack I think, learning to cut some simple joints).
It was a great basic course. Definitely gave me the confidence to take on more DIY jobs around the house.
The tutors were fab and a great laugh
