| Comment | Good luck. Ive been on at GCC for years to unblock the drains on our street that flood the entire road every time it rains. Nothing gets done, the tickets are still sitting there 'open' for almost 3 years now. Surely the council get shafted for missing SLA?
I complained to the local MP who got a response pretty sharpish, they came out, unblocked one drain with a big gully cleaner then fucked off. So within weeks the rubbish that couldnt get in every other blocked drain flowed right into the unblocked one and blocked it up again.
I made an FOI to the council on how many gulley cleaners they have to unblock drains. Two.
One is broken. They have plans to rent two others but no date for when that will happen, so literally one gulley cleaner for the entire Glasgow area, doing the bare minimum.
Someone had suggested that that people running that were part time bin lorry workers too so that's why nothing seems to get done.
if you want it expedited, try calling the council, they'll take a little report over the phone and make sure you say the water is getting close to private property. theyll be there within days. |
