It's literally how it's done in Thailand. But they don't ask. They walk the streets in the morning and folks go out their way to hand out food or "give alms"
When they come to our school we all prepare stuff to give them.
Never had one ask me for a meal though. It's supposed to be freely given in order to create good karma. |
