I've been accosted by these people in Singapore several times! Also London! They will ask to bless you and for a small donation give you good luck. Buddhist monks would never do this. They do not ask for donations outright. If you say no they claim you will have bad luck etc. Quite an innocent scam actually but nevertheless quite frightening for those who may not be aware of such things. I just walked away whenever they tried it. Hoping I wasn't cursed obviously! 🙃 |
