Glaz-goh is correct in an "official (?)" kind of way, yep. Americans often do the "ow" sound.
Similar thing with Moscow. Americans tend to pronounce it Mos-cow (sounds like moss then like farmyard cow", while in the UK you'll hear it as Moss-co.
Glezga is the Glaswegian dialect way of saying Glaz-goh, and then when you go out to areas around Lanarkshire and Lothian that becomes glez-gay. |
