It's about as productively rebellious and "anti-establishment" as dyeing your hair green or wearing a "fuck the police" t-shirt but significantly more arrogant and self-centred than either.
I agree it can be an art form and I think dedicated graffiti parks might be worth a visit. But forcing everyone to have to look at your art by painting it all over shared spaces is just the height of self-important arrogance. |
